Call me crazy, but do you see the ring around the moon? I don't know how well it shows here. I took this picture tonight. No, I don't mean the circle of light immediately around the moon. I mean the one farther out in a perfect circle. At first I thought it might be clouds, but when do clouds make a perfect circle.
Do the arrows help? Seriously, it was like a large hole in the sky with the moon in the middle.
Call me crazy or maybe I've discovered a moon ring. If anyone knows what this is, please enlighten me!

hey! yes it is a ring around the moon 2nite; according to a web site it is caused by the refraction of moonlight from ice crystals in the upper atmosphere, an optical effect. quite beautiful! :)

Thanks to both of you!
It was beautiful. God is amazing!
I just came across this question after googling it because I saw for the first time the same thing last night. I read a bunch about the weather and what not causing it. And maybe. i live in Montana, the weather is always a bit cooler here. Although, today was beautiful out. No snow, no rain..Just sunshine. I am wonering if it maybe anything a little deeper? I noticed it last night after a family intervention with my 17 year old son. After, I went out on my deck and cryed and prayed. Something told me to look up.. There is was. Maybe Iam just a bit emotional right now but I felt something last night. Any one have any input for me? MT Girl.
To Anonymous,
I was just reacquainted with a dear friend and professional colleague whom I had not had contact with for over 5 years tonight. He came to me for help with progressing his charitable and service work. I had thought I would never see him again and often wondered why it seemed that our prior professional work abruptly ceased. I always check in with GOD and the entire time he was talking I was wondering, "GOD, what's up?" My husband and I walked my friend to the car; he drove off; we looked up and saw a halo around the moon tonight; my friend saw us in his rear view mirror; he whipped the car around; he asked "what's up?"; we said "look up"; he said "OMG its the Circle of Completion!"; at that time it felt like GOD's confirmation to me that this reunion was blessed by him and we could start our charitable and service work to the next level.
