God's Glory in Sunflowers

My words still feel cumbersome, but even in the midst of that I thought I'd share with you a couple pictures as evidence of God's continued glory. I took these today after work.

I do know these aren't lilies but I was reminded of Luke 12:22-30:

Then Jesus said to his disciples: "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. Life is more than food, and the body more than clothes. Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds! Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?

"Consider how the lilies grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith! And do not set your heart on what you will eat or drink; do not worry about it. For the pagan world runs after all such things, and your Father knows that you need them. But seek his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well."

Amy,

Beautiful sunflowers! And I love the bee that you can see in the picture.

And how true the scriptures are. Don't worry, if God cares so much about the flowers, how much more He cares about you. Take that to heart my friend!

Love you,
Melissa

Amy,
I am praying for you... still! I understand about words being cumbersome. After my last counseling session this past week. It has been hard to write, journal, pray, talk. Just plain communicate.

My prayer for you (and me):
"Satisfy us in teh morning with your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days." Ps. 90:14

Love you,
Heather

Good Morning, Amy!!

I found you on the Internet Cafe Devotion this morning.

I love your sunflower pictures, and it is so true. I used to be such a worrier--worry, worry, worry about everything--even if I didn't know what I was worrying about!

Now, when I feel that urge creeping in on me, I remember this verse. God loves us and cares for us. He has provided for me even when I was far from Him and I didn't realize it until years later.

If you get a chance, stop by and read my testimony--"Darkness Into Light".

Have a wonderful day!!

Beth
